2024 Summer Reading Program - Adventure Begins At Your Library
For Children and Teens Entering 12th Grade and Under
Program runs from June 17th - August 9th
This summer, the Library will explore and grow with the theme of Adventure Begins At Your Library. Take on our summer reading challenge for the chance to win one of our summer prizes and join us for a variety of exciting programs!

LIBRARY STORYTIME
Registration is not required to attend. In the event of inclement weather, please check our Library Instagram and Facebook Page for delayed openings, cancelations, and closure announcements.
Age: Recommended for children ages 5 and under with a caregiver, but all children are welcome

Description: Bringing together Yoga and Boot Camp movements, YoBoo challenges and educates children while introducing them to the world of health and fitness combined with stories and music!

Housel Fun and Fitness: Daring Adventure Show
Registration is required and space is limited. Dumont residents only.

Description: This interactive read-aloud program has children up and moving while entertained by great books! Kids will enjoy snippets of well-loved stories followed by an "Adventure Begins" related activity, game, or dance.

Garden Arts: Tropical Veggie/Fruitopia

Description: Let’s plant a garden with yummy treats of papaya seeds, strawberries, sweet peas, and peppers. A fun guardian will be added to watch over your growing delights!

Family Movie Event
Registration is not required to attend.

Description: Join us at the Library for a family-friendly movie. Light refreshments will be provided. Children must have a parent or guardian present with them at all times during this event.

Summer Reading Wrap-Up Dance Party
Registration is required and space is limited. Dumont residents only.

Description: Participants will be moving and grooving to exciting songs and following along with simple steps. All dances are teacher-led, age-appropriate and include a lot of props and surprises!

Youth Book Clubs
Registration is required. Space is limited. A library card is required for registration. (If you have multiple children, please register each one individually). You will be signed up for all four dates upon registering.
